Inside/Out (2022)

The piece's concept is based on human interaction with nature, the effect humans have had on their environments, and a representation of these consequences through an abstract blend of human parts and plant-like features.

All objects in the final piece are made using Maya and Blender. Every piece was modeled by scratch by me and was uniquely realized to fit the sculpture as a whole best. Zbrush was also used for a few details here and there. The lighting and effects were both done using Blender.

This piece is a work in progress. I aim to add more movement to make the piece more interactive and develop a soundscape to aid in the immersion of the world within the sculpture.

Experimenting With DALL-E

Each piece is AI generated based on a short phrase that I construct and feed the engine. These renders have influenced a large amount of the intention behind my more recent works and were one of the main inspirations for “Inside/Out.”

Goodnight, I love you: “a 3d render of an organic room, made of human parts, surrealistic and abstract, in the style of Tim Burton”

ZBrush & Quixel (2022)

This model was meant for the practice of both utilization of Quixel’s free library and ZBrush to paint and light a figure.

The piece was my first exploration into the creation of a water-like atmosphere in Blender. The effect is done using lights. Most of the items in the scene are Quixel assets with textures of my own design and textures found online. In the future, I hope to animate a character within the scene and use a camera to explore all the details, but it is a work in progress.
